Raffi Feghali is an improviser, storyteller, and actor. After establishing a modest improv scene in Beirut for the first 8 years of his improv career, he started touring with his show Be My Guest in 2017 and appearing in festivals all over the world. In 2018, he added Al-Hakawati to his roster of shows – a solo improv and storytelling show and then in 2019, This is Beirut! – an improv show inspired by the October 17 Revolution in Lebanon.
He loves bringing the power of storytelling to improv, as well as taking the power of improv to the storytelling world. That is why his improv is often characterized by being story-centric and more often than not with socio-political layers.
In parallel, Feghali is an avid practitioner of Theatre of the Oppressed, Playback Theatre, and Expressive Arts Therapy-based approaches to conflict transformation and peacebuilding projects.
Raffi Feghali is a member of the Lincoln Theater Center Directors Lab 2018, founder and director of The Third Space (2019), co-founder of Tahweel Ensemble Theater (2015), and co-founder and director (2009 – 2017) of Laban – Live Lactic Culture.
He will be the teacher of the workshop „How do we want to live?“.
